1/If we were to take the average six-year-old, explain to them world problems in a way they could understand and then operationalize their suggestions for what we should do to solve them, we would have a far more peaceful world.

2/ If we were to say “A lot of children are hungry” the 6 yr old would say “Feed them.” If we were to say “The earth is hurting,” the 6 yr old would say “Heal it!” If we were to say “We spend a lot of money on ways to kill people” the 6 yr old would say “Let’s love them instead.”

I don’t think that’s true at all. I remember having a conversation with my daughter when she was about 10 or 12 years old and she has been taught about nuclear bombs in school. The look on her face, the clarity was so profound when she said “Mommy, that’s insane.”
