1/ McConnell says he’s open to an infrastructure bill that both sides agree on, but he’s not open to any change to the 2017 tax cut that gave $.83 of every dollar to the richest corporations and individuals.

2/ That’s a perfect encapsulation of his brand of Republican: open to helping people as long as it doesn’t fundamentally alter the economic pattern that guarantees vastly more wealth for the 1%. Raising corporate tax rates doesn’t just help pay for things; it helps right the ship

You do realize that after the tax cuts the federal government was taking in record tax revenue by 2019 and unemployment had sunk to record lows. Corporations spend the savings to expand and hire people, taking people off unemployment and turning them into tax payers.

Imagine if people could decide for themselves how to use the fruits of their labor? Seemed to work out well when chattel slavery ended, maybe we should try it again

Every move McConnell makes is for the upperclass at the expense of the working class.

Republicans are only interested in increasing their own power above everyone else's. They will say and do anything to achieve their objective. Mitch McConnell is their Chief Fascilitator.

I want to know this: The last admin touted a transformational infrastructure week just about every month. If they want to argue on cost & paying for such, tell us if they had proposed their own plan, how were they wanting it to be paid for/by? What solutions did they agree on?
