Marianne, you do realize Musk gets better ROI on his dollars than poor people would? He’s fighting poverty through Starlink (global satellite internet), climate change through Tesla and SolarCity, and might even achieve global unity through the shared goal of colonizing Mars.

He donated more than 150 million so far this year. He is taxed out the ass, manages Neurolink, Tesla, Spacex, and god knows what else. Go make your fortune and give half of it away. Better yet, donate half your salary to be the influence. I hate seeing comments like yours.

Not everything is about solving the worlds problems, it’s his money. He made it. He owns it. He can do whatever he wants to do with it. He could found a company burning forests to support climate change (not that that’s a good a idea, just saying)

Money doesn't make those things better by themselves. Knowledge and the will to self-help does. You take a homeless man from the street and give him money and buy him a home and most likely he'll end back in the street.
