This is a story repeated many times over in Latin America.
If @VP is to get to root causes re immigration issue at the border, she must mention US foreign policy in Latin America. It's bogus to pretend it's not an issue & only the truth will set us free. Also, to learn about root causes go down there & hear from the people themselves?

And we should be discussing that. The only way we can heal the imperialistic streak that has become entrenched in our foreign policy is if we're willing to admit it, atone for it and correct it.
