''created equal in the image of God'' Why the hell does every Politician give into religiosity I don't want to hear it from people put in charge of doing things, fixing things...making practical choices for the benefit of everyone

"People put in charge doing things, fixing things, making practical choice" are like car mechanics. But our problem isn't mechanical; it's that the car has been driven into a ditch. "All men are created equal ...endowed by their creator w/ certain inalienable rights" is our map.

And which of us most resembles the almighty? Even your president doesn't get it. Separation of church and state !

Separation of church and state has nothing to do with this. He is referring to words in the Declaration of Independence, that all men are created equal and endowed by God with the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That is our national creed.

The democracy will not survive its current environment

Living lives of respect and possibility is the responsibility of each individual and not the government.

This takes a well informed and sane population. Without this "democracy" becomes mob rule and tyranny.

Taking more and more of people's property by force is so respectful and dignified!
