I wish I could see it this way. I think it is a recognition that they have to do something or they will have riots which will interfere with their drones going to work & buying shit. Plus they’re super worried a target might burn. There is no evidence they understand the scale

I think the jury is still on on the issue of scale. DOJ and FBI investigations are not a small thing. Now we need Congress and the White House to act. But there’s movement.

I don’t see it as cynically as you do. What you’re saying is no different then a right wing view of the “deep state.” There are some good people who are work in government too, you know. And many of them do see the situation very clearly.

It’s all theatre. The police exist to serve and protect capital, nothing more. Oppressing marginalized people by force is literally their job description. Nothing can improve under capitalism, it can only can get worse as the system continues to collapse, which is inevitable.
