An economic system based more on competition than collaboration will not only fail to solve humanity’s greatest challenges over the next 100 years. It actually created most of them & if allowed to will perpetuate them. We need a fundamental disruption of our economic status quo.

I grown up in socialism, so to make it clear I‘m more than happy to live in a capitalistic system.

This is not even a thing

as long as profit motive remains (the ultimate goal of capitalism, no matter how "regulated"), humanity is fucked. societal collapse due to climate change is inevitable as long as capitalism dominates our planet of finite resources.

If you have a "highly regulated free market"... You don't have a free market.

🤦‍♂️ You need 1 more year of education. I was at exact same place where you are now about an year back "Free" in Free market Capitalism is not what you think it's means. It's only free for strong to trample on weak. Weak are not free to protect themselves from organised Capital

Marianne you are a very creative woman and a visionary. Why do you hold onto the idea that our way out of the mess we are in has to be the same as what got us here? Free markets inherent function is trading for gain and with that competition is automatic.

If you regulate it correctly, only then it can be a free market. However, a genuine free market poses risk to capital, and that is not what the wealthy want.
