This is so, so needed. One of the greatest tragedies in America is how many people are incarcerated who should not be. For them, our prison system is too easy to get into and too hard to get out of.

If you have laws, you have to have consequences to laws that can result in jail time. The biggest problem we have with the number of people in jails is with some cultures thinking doing time for engaging in criminal conduct is a badge of honor which should bring them respect.

Marianne, thank you for mentioning this. I've been personally involved in helping Bobby Bostic. At 16, he committed armed robbery and carjacking. He was sentenced to 241 years & not eligible for parole until he's 112 years old. He's now 42. democracyonthemove.org/podca…
