I think we need a system that’s representative of the communities it’s meant to serve. As it is, we employ lumberjacks to work in toothpick factories.

As well as our economic system, healthcare system and education system.

We need to deconstruct our system in America and build it again starting on a completely different set of values, love and compassion instead of material progress and property rights

Well yes, that is the new, cool, hip thing for people on the political left to say. But does it actually mean anything? WHAT is this “different set of values”? Got any specifics? And how well do they apply to stopping a violent criminal in a real-world situation?

I agree! We basically need to clean house and rebuild from the ground up.

But remember that a sweet, “give them all a chance” police force is no match for many horrible criminals in the US. If police let down their guard even one second, they’ve got the cop’s gun.

We live in a country where there are so few values I have to ask what values should we use to start?

I'm convinced we need to disarm america. No more firearms. Period. Not for cops or civilians. I know. It's not possible in today's political climate.
