View B is the correct and accurate view of the mission of the US military. It's all about the safety of the duckets of the very, very rich.

The focus of this critique should be on the military industrial complex. Beginning with Vietnam we saw with great horror and devastation how the impulse for perpetual war overrode any “moral cause.” Today the corporations benefitting from this system are the defence contractors.
