The issue of our $713B defense budget is not just how much of it is money that could’ve been spent at home in ways that make life better for Americans; it’s how much of it is money spent abroad in ways that make life worse for people elsewhere.

Also from a strictly profit perspective as per investment in our society, other than job creation it really doesn't do that much. Infrastructure investment & education investment wd create millions of jobs and the profits would go right back into the economy.

The Biden 48% cap gains tax rate is a terrible idea - add state taxes like CA, NY, NJ and it's over 55%. Fair taxes for super rich is all good but don't destroy American venture capitalist system. Find the sweet spot where Big Money will still invest and take the tax hit.

You'd think more American conservatives would admit the department of war spending is also extremely inefficient. The department of war does help innovate some technologies, but there are better ways to invest in innovation and progress.
