Anne Lamott is full of rich plain hearted wisdom. And thank you, Marianne, for what you said near the end - that you believe love will win but that does not necessarily mean we save our democracy or even humanity. I feel the same. As of yet-we've barely peeked behind the curtain.
This message landed in my heart. I will take it with me.

I'll try to watch later tonight ... It was freezing here today ... thanks for bringing some Spring with your beautiful dress!
Anne Lamott is a FORCE … “In the midst of all the crap … it sucks … I hate it … and … I’m hopeful!” … and … “Writing is like driving at night with the lights on … You see a little bit at a time.” Loved what you said about death and dying … and your Richard story.
I loved this podcast!

I love @ANNELAMOTT. She's a gifted writer and she's hilarious. Her political commentary, however, is annoying af. Maybe you could disabuse her of some of her shitlib notions?
Given that San Francisco, it's political structure in particular, largely enabled Jim Jones in the 70s, I oft wonder if people this age from there feel a sense of remorse and/or guilt. They liked Jones bc he could deliver a crowd of polite, well dressed voters on short notice.
