2/ The environmental crisis and the political/economic corruption that perpetuate it are all fueled by humanity’s lack of reverence and devotion to anyone and anything but ourselves. An overly materialized worldview counterintuitively leads to violence toward the material world.

I’ve also always found it interesting that Milton, CS Lewis, and Tolkien all associated industrialism with Satan and war in their imagery and storytelling. So there is an environmentalist tradition in Christianity, and idk how it became so distant from it in modern gop.
