2/ The environmental crisis and the political/economic corruption that perpetuate it are all fueled by humanity’s lack of reverence and devotion to anyone and anything but ourselves. An overly materialized worldview counterintuitively leads to violence toward the material world.

So, so, wrong. It’s the cartesian, mechanistic view of the world that started with Descartes and developed into physicalism and scientism etc, completely disconnected from our place in nature. A good recent talk on this

Pagans desire to exploit nature was only limited by their ability to accomplish that exploitation. North American megafauna were hunted to extinction and not by Christians.
