2/ The environmental crisis and the political/economic corruption that perpetuate it are all fueled by humanity’s lack of reverence and devotion to anyone and anything but ourselves. An overly materialized worldview counterintuitively leads to violence toward the material world.

Marianne has no clue of the reality of respect of anything as she tweets from her device, probably drives a car, uses a washer, dryer, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Probably never has done a clean up on the beach or composted.
