2/ The environmental crisis and the political/economic corruption that perpetuate it are all fueled by humanity’s lack of reverence and devotion to anyone and anything but ourselves. An overly materialized worldview counterintuitively leads to violence toward the material world.

I wouldn't say "earth-based" so much as "Nature-based" as it included an acceptance of that which IS but is NOT seen (e.g. wind, Solar radiation experienced as heat and so on). Westerners will always try to fit "God" into a box of their making.

Far and away, the largest polluters on earth are India and China. The entire world pollutes. Blaming one religion, or any other group, for this is simply discriminatory.
