1/ At the onset of WW2 the United States did not even have a standing military...and along with others we still won the war. It was only at the end of WW2 that the “defense industry” was created....

3/ The myth has been created that a huge defense industry is necessary for our security. Yet it is nothing but that: a myth. The gargantuan size of our military expenditure does not represent increased safety for us or for others; in many ways it represents more danger.

Please don’t pretend to know anything about military spending. The focus should be on the corruption in DC that keeps landing us in unending wars.

Do you remember ... "I Like Ike"... He was a Republican and ... I DID LIKE HIM ... As you say ... he was the "Supreme Allied Commander" in WWII and he had the ... COURAGE ... as President, to warn us about the "Military Industrial Complex."
