Growing up with a family member who suffered from dementia, this was absolutely heartbreaking to watch. Ms. Garner needed CARE, not to be beaten.

The police exist to protect wealthy people’s property, and to gather revenue. That’s it. That’s the intended job. The side grifts and the constant murdering are side effects of the unlimited discretion (air freshener can be ignored or a death sentence, and all in between) end it!

I think the lack of humility can be extended to the entire United States.

Every news story these days makes me cry. Violent abuse against an elderly woman for 13 frickin' dollars and 88 cents. I guess I should be thankful she wasn't executed on the spot for resisting.

Any cop who turns their body camera off should be fired immediately. No second chances.

Sick. Really sick. I was a police officer for seven years. No officer I know would ever treat an elderly shoplifter this way. What the hell is wrong with the US police? Would they treat their mum like that? The whole country appears unwell observing from across the world. Shame.
