1/ I can’t bear to tweet about one more person killed by the police or one more group of people killed by a madman with a gun. Not tonight. I’m at a stage of simply integrating what it means that our country has sunk so very, very low.

2/ The overwhelming evidence that things are completely out of control is a naked truth we need to face right now. It’s in facing it - & feeling it - that we’ll be led to realizations of what it will take to get this country back on track. It will not be a quick or easy journey.

3/ There’s a deep connection between facing clearly what we need to face & our ability to discern what we’ll need to do. The pain is making us different people; those changes in us are required if we’re to become people who can change the world. I believe in my heart that we will

The deaths by guns are devastating! The parents of the kids being killed need to be held accountable instead of a lawyer immediately contacting them to sue! The kids being shot are always resisting arrest! Why is no one taking the officers life into account?!

Take on mental illness and stop crime and you will succeed.

My Dad was the last of the old time cops. He said when computers started being used that it was the end of policing. "You can't help anybody anymore. Once it's in the computer it's over."

The cops are killing black people but the mass shooters are mostly white. Self appointed saviours think everyone should carry. Imagine the crossfire if a bunch of panicked people start trying to shoot a shooter.

it's always been this way. Remember Rodney King? Now we have cell phones with cameras and cops at least partly have body cameras, and some public places have surveillance cameras. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodney…
