1/ I can’t bear to tweet about one more person killed by the police or one more group of people killed by a madman with a gun. Not tonight. I’m at a stage of simply integrating what it means that our country has sunk so very, very low.

2/ The overwhelming evidence that things are completely out of control is a naked truth we need to face right now. It’s in facing it - & feeling it - that we’ll be led to realizations of what it will take to get this country back on track. It will not be a quick or easy journey.

3/ There’s a deep connection between facing clearly what we need to face & our ability to discern what we’ll need to do. The pain is making us different people; those changes in us are required if we’re to become people who can change the world. I believe in my heart that we will

When people’s “rights” become more important than human lives, we’ve got a problem. That’s where we are.

I hate to break it to everyone but we’ve been this low for a very, very, long time. Because Corporate greed has now gotten so rampant that it effects everyone and social media, white people are just starting to wake up to the real America

Sorry that your heart is afflicted. Try to avoid despair. Hate is real, but there is much more to reality than hate. I am not trying to minimise the hate out there. Know in your heart that kindness and love defeat hate.

I’m thinking we’ve always been this low, sadly.

i don’t think we’ve sunk any lower than we always were. the dominant culture, the colonizer’s culture is defined by its soul sickness, which makes sense because it’s never confronted its shadow meaningfully or even acknowledged the ill relations & exploitation at the very root.

What babble.

to change policing would mean to change what freedom stands for in the U.S. nobody is ready for that so integrating the reality of our police state is more productive than protests at this point

It's never been a long way to those depths to begin with.
