Is it just me, or is deeming something an “unlawful assembly” a loophole they’ve found in the US Constitution? Don’t we either have the right of assembly or we don’t?

The ruling class will label any assembly opposing its status quo unlawful.

It’s not a loophole, it’s them manipulating the constitution to their whim.

Same thing with justifying police killings by saying the victims were armed. We have a right to be armed and we have a right to assemble, and cops are murdering us for exercising those rights.

when assemblies are peaceful, police still antagonize, brutalize, crack people's skulls open and then go on to abuse public trust saying that the protesters were dangerous. at least livestock get killed for a reason. this sucks.

Also, the concept of having to get a permit from the government to protest the government seems like a scam...

Unless you’re a white supremacist you don’t have the right to peacefully assemble and never really did

I believe that there should be a distinction between a lawful and unlawful assembly. Protest=lawful. Lynch Mob=unlawful. What we need is the distinction to be more clearly written. That's the problem with our laws. They aren't written clearly and rely too much on "precedent."

i guess you need a permit for assembly, but none for guns? i can’t keep up with their selective reasoning.
