America has a major gun issue that is unkin to any other major country. Our police are bad but if any other major country had nearly as many guns on the streets, you’d see the same rates.

The income for a cop in Norway is over 100k, the income for a cop in say my state of NC...37k, on average. We should require degrees and years of training, America should also pay them more. The harder it is to obtain the position is when we'll see a better crop of officers.

I watched a documentary series on US police training in the 80's... Still terrified that they let some of those cadets join (especially this one guy, Zed 🤯).
