The fact that we’re the world’s largest arms exporter is not something Americans should feel proud of. We can transition from war economy to peace economy, no differently then we can transition from dirty economy to clean economy; there’s even money to be made investing in peace.

Transition to a cleaner green economy will not happen as long as #RepublicanHypocrites obstruct and obstruct to emphasize their #priority issues. #GOPHypocrisy

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex." Eisenhower, 1961 warned us. The powers that be won't let go of their money/control

Sure ... A peace force will need lots of equipment ... There's plenty of business to be done ... and money to be made ... by the companies that are providing these goods.

Investing in peace spreads the dividends to tens of millions. Investing in war funnels the payoff into a few greedy hands (Generals/Admirals, Execs, political criminals). Since the latter controls the decisions, they always choose to benefit themselves regardless of the voters.

I'm really proud of that actually.
