Biden wants to raise the corporate tax rate from 21 to 28% but Manchin won’t go beyond 25%. Giving a low corporate tax rate to multi-billion dollar industries that pay their workers survival wages & their CEOs tens of millions of dollars a year is not competitive, it’s immoral

Shouldn’t we worry about raising the minimum wage before worrying about increasing tax laws that the targeted corporations are going to dodge anyways?

No. We should do both.

Raising the corporate tax % does nothing. It is about tax loopholes and structure. Amazon pays nothing at the current % and you could make the rate 80% and still they pay zero. The percentages are bs
Corporations don’t pay taxes, you do. It always gets passed along to the consumer and if they can’t you’ll be buying it from China and the Corporation and all of its employees will be out of business.

The legislature is unable to pass laws like these in a time efficient manner. Both changes are long over due, but Congress needs to start prioritizing legislation that effects more people in need.

One should put for the other
No, we should do neither. Raising the minimum wage prices less-skilled workers out of the market and lowers the cost of discrimination. Taxing corporations passes those taxes on to consumers in the form of higher prices and workers in the form of lower wages and fewer jobs.
