We spend hundreds of billions of $ more on the military budget than our military even asks for, all so defense contractors can continue to rake in their gargantuan profits. But we “can’t afford” to help people more with health care, student loan debt, education etc...?
The Biden-Harris budget is not progressive. If it was, one of things it’d do is at least attempt to reconcile the longstanding military-vs-nonmilitary spending disparity:

What the Biden Administration is doing ... is ... "Progressive Light" ... nothing permanent will change ... most of the relief is temporary ... and when this pandemic dies down ... we'll be right back to where we were before!

I love you, Marianne. My father -- a far right Republican Southern millionaire -- respects you & has cherished much of your YouTube content I've shared with him over the years. Thank you. He's slowly changing, recognizing the error/sin/evil of his right-wing Confederate ways.

One of these years, we citizens of the US should organize a mass protest wherein no one pays their taxes. What's the IRS going to do? Arrest the entire country?

Don't let anyone gaslight you into believing this is about protecting mom & stopping daesh from taking all the apple pie. We spend so little on foreign assistance & even when we do there are strings attached. More diplomacy = less suicide bombers & gold star families

Augustine’s Law Taken to its logical conclusion, by... “2054, the entire defense budget will purchase just one aircraft. This aircraft will have to be shared by the Air Force and Navy 3.5 days/wk except leap year where it will be made available to the Marines for the extra day.”
