We spend hundreds of billions of $ more on the military budget than our military even asks for, all so defense contractors can continue to rake in their gargantuan profits. But we “can’t afford” to help people more with health care, student loan debt, education etc...?
The Biden-Harris budget is not progressive. If it was, one of things it’d do is at least attempt to reconcile the longstanding military-vs-nonmilitary spending disparity:

All it would take is diverting 10% of the DoD budget into military medicine and specifically medical training. Imagine what you could do with an extra 100 docs, 200 nurses, 300 APPs, and 500 new medical techs..... Every.... Single.... Year....
