I attended IACP years ago (the trade Assn for Chiefs of Police)-the exhibit floor was filled with military vehicles & equipment. A gross/toxic display of “boys & their toys”. The training that bothers me most - ‘every one is an enemy out to destroy’. Us vs them at its worst

This started under Geo Bush jr. Police depts would submit a grant application to DOJ. They would choose from a list of artillery, etc what their dept needed. One of our cops went to AZ for training on a military assault weapon. 1990’s
