The US government didn’t put a price tag on how much it was willing to pay to defeat Hitler, and it shouldn’t put a price tag on how much it’s willing to pay to mitigate climate change. Money should not be the determining factor in defeating an existential threat.

The US wasn’t willing to fight Hitler until it sufficiently profited from selling weapons to both sides. 😒 also: USSR defeated Hitler.

Being honest about history is important & WW2 wasn’t the “righteous victory” we pretend it was. There was plenty of PR saying US won the war, but that was mainly used to cover complicity (esp from corporations) & that good will was squandered promoting neocolonialism worldwide.
