The US government didn’t put a price tag on how much it was willing to pay to defeat Hitler, and it shouldn’t put a price tag on how much it’s willing to pay to mitigate climate change. Money should not be the determining factor in defeating an existential threat.

The diff is, WE the USA could & did beat Hitler & Hirohito. The USA cant fix climate. China & world overpopulation r the main problems. Rank ordering & US fix in this thread. US doesnt need to spend much. Nothing even CLOSE to WW2.

USA part of Climate Change fix: *Cut coal by 75% (power plants) *Cut Nat Gas by 30% (power plants) *Cut Oil by 45% (1/3 gasoline Sherman Tanks, 1/3 hybrids, 1/3 EV). We could do ALL w small gasoline cars but ppl dont like em Pretty EZ for USA. China is most of problem. No EZ Fix
