The US government didn’t put a price tag on how much it was willing to pay to defeat Hitler, and it shouldn’t put a price tag on how much it’s willing to pay to mitigate climate change. Money should not be the determining factor in defeating an existential threat.

Money ain’t a factor when bombing or giving tax cuts to the elites, why the hell is it an issue when it comes to stopping pollution and cleaning the environment?

We should have a public debate with scientists from both sides of 'climate science' and have the public be the judge. It should be widely televised.

Earth has been in a Global Warming Cycle since 1850, and they usually last 200 to 600 years.

It's like owning a home and your roof needs to get repaired, you have the money but some how you are debating on replacing the roof.

As long as much of our economy is focused on the fossil fuel and military industries no effort to address the #ClimateCrisis will suffice. This past year we all made sacrifices but that it was not enough gives perspective to how much we need to really do nature.com/articles/d41586-0…

Maybe, if human-caused warming really were a crisis, but it isn't. Not even close. Scientific consensus doesn't agree it's noticeable or even slightly dangerous. Most warming is less severe cold. #ClimateAction has tiny temp effect. bit.ly/CoFa bit.ly/CPP38

Nothing like comparing Hitler to the environment.

The communists mostly defeated that right-wing regime, but your point is good.

Sure seems like there have been a lot of existential threats lately though. Perhaps we shouldn't have used so much capital on so many less important ones. 🤷
