To all the materialists who think the incredible designs of nature - including on fish, birds, flowers and even caterpillars - emerge from nothing more than the most reductionist scientific evolutionary forces, I joyously disagree with you.

I shouldn’t have used the word “reductionist” that way. The people criticizing me on that one are right. My bad. Sorry.

I think nature is more fascinating and filled with wonder than any made up story we humans can make up. From the incredible marvels of outer space to the smallest bug, everything's part of this infinitely complex universe that's so much more inspiring than our tales.

I wish public figures actually understood what evolution means. It's not some ridiculous roll of the dice or some happy accident. It is literally the cumulative effects of infinite small changes over time. It is like an infinite kaleidoscope of wonder and beauty.

Are you using your ignorance as evidence of a supernatural creator? Are you saying "because I cannot fathom or understand how nature could make this, therefore a supernatural creator must have done it"? If so, you're engaging in woofully bad logic.

No, I’m saying that is incredible as Leonardo da Vinci’s brain and talent were, there remained a Leonardo da Vinci.

But the material is the metaphysical - such that it exists - made flesh. There doesn’t need to be conscious agency. Or, so the most beautiful birdie told me.
