Charles is right, the divide-and-conquer factor in American politics is off the charts right now.
Charles Barkley understands U.S. politics better than every pundit on CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News.

What they don’t want us to see? That the biggest danger is not where they’re different but where they are far too much of the same: beholden to the same corporate forces that guarantee no structural reform.

“beholden to the same corporate forces that guarantee no structural reform” describes the Political parties. This is the driving force behind ALL legislation INCLUDING healthcare, welfare, “emergency relief” and others.

You mean to say politicians benefit quite a bit from say, Americans being at each other’s throats on the Chauvin trial, in spite of the fact that basically everyone agrees on the main, common sense policy issues raised by the Floyd killing?
That’s what I see too.

How do you deduce this that the bogeyman is "corporate forces"? Corporations, unions, NGOs, and also politicians/bureaucrats alike...all people variously organized. But state actors have the power and sell to the highest bidder. If org A doesn't play the game, then org B wins
The problem is the flattening of this argument. That makes it easy to swallow, and its ultimately useless. And, sadly, its all most of humanity can stomach attention to, so our society degrades further.
Is everything some conspiratorial plot to bolster the status quo? Bezos and Zuckerberg aren't the status quo...there is mobility in and out of the top 1%...stop making it the enemy.

U ARE ALL STILL FOCUSING ON THE SYMPTOMS -- not the PROBLEM. If we stop the daily FRAUD (etc) of the billionaire-owned PRESS (MSM).... ....we automatically solve every other ill in society. There can be no bad cops or fake wars or homeless IF THE MSM TELLS THE WHOLE TRUTH.
Chuck gives zero £^<{$ about saying the quiet (yet obvious) part out loud. The pundits on MSM know this too, but are willingly complicit as the front line weapons of those that want to divide and conquer...
Exactly. That’s why it will take a nonpartisan, multicultural, multigenerational movement to address the corrupting influence of money in our political system. Join @WolfPAChq in the fight for a 28th Amendment to do just that.
