If you add bloat in the defense budget, corporate subsidies, unfair tax breaks, fill loopholes & IRS neglect of collecting taxes of the richest, the money would pay for everything we need to fundamentally disrupt economic patterns that guarantee the chronic suffering of millions.

Those subsidies, tax breaks, and loopholes, are vehicles for businesses to depreciate equipment faster and expand their business. All of it creating jobs. Military spending = JOBS.

It would be nice to eliminate these things

America needs a disclaimer like a pharmaceutical commercial. May cause bloat, poverty, depression, racism, oppression and diarrhea. Talk to your doctor. If you can actually afford one.

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Or the bloated COVID relief nill made by your party giving Billions to other countries as you guys gave the American people a mere $600 for being out of work because of lockdowns forces by YOUR party So get out of here with your fake outrage over the defense budget & the wealthy

While certainly bloat, we are not in a zero sum game when it comes “to paying” for things. Please stop tying having nice things to the bloat. They actually are two different things.

I find it frustrating when regular people tell me we can't afford things like M4A without raising taxes on the middle class. I think the concern is that we get M4A without any concessions anywhere else. The argument though, is FOR concessions from the corporations TO pay for it.

They’ve built the paradigm and control the narrative. Corporate interests dominate every sector because this entire country relies on, public & private. That catch-22 model ensures minimal progress. Governments essential function in the 21st century must be protecting the people.
