Great post; everyone hates child neglect and abuse, but few get the reality that our mechanistic, profit centered power structure and the greedy influence peddlers that service it is literally sacrificing the lives of children on the alter of corporate greed every day.

I've heard that many rich kids are actually raised by servants instead of their busy success racing parents. The servants are usually minorities who are caught in between the kids and the parents. The kids get no direction.
