Yes! I'm tired of many financial analysts/experts talking like our economy is autonomous. There is no economy without our involvement, without our approval. We control it and can change it. It doesn't have to be governed by greed.

The economy neither serves nor is served. It just exists. People voluntarily contracting to produce things and solve problems.

The economy could be a more cooperative effort to advance society and alleviate individual suffering. But all the laws in the world can't create that. It would have to come from people genuinely caring about more than themselves, and that's just not where we're at a species.

But it does serve people!!! With the usual caveat - a very small number of people...
