This is why we need to shift from a market-based to a humanitarian based economy. All policy should be guided by a single question: what would help people thrive? It would a different - and much better - world.

What would help people thrive would be for government, including the corporatists they collude with, to stop being so corrupt.

Giving more power to our self destructive, self deceptive, power seeking, racially & politically segregated fear based human egos, instead of our Inner Soul Connection To God鈥檚 Healing Love, is causing so many things to go wrong, we can鈥檛 even keep track. Another mass shooting馃く

I would become an investor. I could travel the world, and then donate the funds to where ever is needed, since I don't need it. I could play a small role to improve our environment, small businesses our infrastructure, our debt, rare disease research! It would be fun! Happy!

People seem to assume that others would do nothing, thus produce nothing. Not true. Would you sit on your ass all day just because you got UBI? Wouldn't you want to chase down something productive you like? Sitting around, and doing nothing feels good at first, then it's not.

Automation will be the norm in another 25-50 years, across many fields and even more common in areas you won't expect. Doctors for example. We now have machines that rival drs diagnosis. Surgery will be automated at some point. The dishwasher replaced you, aside from filling it.

Maslow's Hierarchy. #UBI takes care of survival/security needs, leaving us free to form better relationships, pursue interests, find fulfilling work etc. Finally humanity can start to reach its full potential. Our economic system has held us back for far too long.

Exactly. Focus on what best serves society instead of what will produce jobs. In the 21st century AI and robotics will end many human jobs from drivers to surgeons. If approached humanely it will lead to a more utopian society. That means reinventing the current economic system.
