This is the problem with someone who doesn't know solidly that capitalism is an evil system of exploitation. They will continually flip-flop whichever way the wind blows, and not be our solid ally. I am trying with Marianne Williamson. I explained in a reply here about Enclosure.

No I'm not. I'm opposed to what happens when capitalism is disconnected from an ethical core, which is inevitable in the absence of strong governmental regulation and oversight. I don't want capitalism destroyed; I want it reined in. Crony capitalism is its perversion.

If only I was a smart as you! You know, a person not agreeing with you about something doesn’t necessarily mean they’re stupid.

Please, I'm not smarter than you but I've had different experience. I've been a carpenter working on mansions of the super rich in Massachusetts and unable to afford a home for my kids. Please take me seriously and not like I'm trying to attack you or one-up you or anything.

But it's like slavery is WRONG, it's really like that. You can't abide with people saying "oh slavery is a little wrong and a little right, this is just a bad patch in the history of slavery right now..." It's just not right. This matters.

Capitalism drives ever increasing levels of mass hyper-consumption. It's completely incompatible with living in harmony with our environment. Even now, capitalists are pushing to deregulate, before we've even begun to address CC in any meaningful way. They'll always be a threat.

I agree with you. It’s just the extreme end of an economic cycle. It’s not a popular take among lefties, but it’s much closer to the truth.
