For Congress to be able to cancel student debt, we’d need to reform or eliminate the filibuster.
But President Biden has the authority to cancel up to $50,000 in student debt right now. He has to use it.
But by all means, please eliminate my student debt. The Filibuster has nothing to do with the fact that I’ve been up to my eyeballs in student loans for the past 18 years. I just haven’t had a way to pay them back. Being disabled sucks!
