I think you mean cronyism. Cronyism is the cause of all our problems. Capitalism is smeared as a result of a government seeped in layers of selfish, crony-based policy decisions. Free markets lead to efficient allocation of resources based on market demands. Term limits now!
Unregulated capitalism is a scourge on our planet, a parasite sucking the lifeblood out of our species, and a one-way ticket to global destruction. If we continue to allow concerns of the marketplace to dominate how we function, we won’t last on this planet for another 100 years

I said “unregulated.” Same thing

Who would do the regulating? The same corrupt politicians who have caused the issue to begin with? I appreciate your perspective but disagree on how to solve the issue

Cronyism is functionally indiscernible from capitalism. There's no effective enforcement mechanism to keep markets "free"

Government. Government sets tax policy, makes banking regulations, determines regulatory measures or lack of them, prosecuted monopolies or doesn’t. Etc. That is precisely what presidents and Congress do.

Capitalism has no mechanism to impede regulatory capture

No it doesn’t, that’s why government needs to be there to do it. The President appoints the head of agencies. And higher consciousness among investors will promote a higher consciousness among CEOs. Read Michael Lewis, “The Fifth Risk”

You have faith in the gov’t to make policy that benefits all? Over the past 60+ years policy has been determined by those who finance campaigns. Term limits would destroy that capability; leading to gov’t reps that actually act on morals versus chasing money and re-elections
