Unregulated capitalism is a scourge on our planet, a parasite sucking the lifeblood out of our species, and a one-way ticket to global destruction. If we continue to allow concerns of the marketplace to dominate how we function, we won’t last on this planet for another 100 years

What about unregulated communism? Terrible as capitalism can be. Living as equals as slaves to the state is a greater threat. What will replace the marketplace? Concerns of the 1% if we allow. 1% are concerned with reducing our number, creating a brave new world for themselves.

What you describe does not exist. We live in an extremely regulated system in which lawmakers engineer a system of preference to special interests. We do not have unregulated capitalism, we have crony capitalism.
Whether regulated or unregulated, capitalism is a scourge that needs to end.

It’s just capitalism Marianne. No need to dance around it.

It's a tool. A powerful tool to be sure. But the morality of the tool's use is on the user. We can have objectively moral and useful capitalism if we use it in a moral and useful fashion.

Reminds me that after Bolsonaro was 'installed' the Amazon, the jungle, began descending faster into desert land... I'd be worried. Gluttonous foreign mining companies...
