“Vanity” candidates only exist when we have an election system where you only have one vote, if people actually cared about people “throwing their vote away” they’d reform elections to include ranked choice voting. Elites are just scared of losing votes to principled candidates

In all fairness, @lessig is one of the biggest advocates for voting reform and #RCV so he’s definitely not one of the people trying to maintain the status quo. We need more viable parties in our country but that only happens with bills like #HR1 & the #FairRepAct passing first.
