Some aspects of HR1 & For the People Act desperately needed, but the part about bolstering the 2- party duopoly and making it harder for third-party presidential candidates is not OK. The 2-party system should not have a monopoly on presidential elections. peoplesparty.org/response-hr…

The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum...That gives people the sense that there’s free thinking going on Noam Chomsky

You’re free to have the blue one or the green one or the red one. And if you don’t like those you can have the blue one or the green one of the red one. And if you don’t like those you can have the blue one or the green one or the red one.

So happy you posted this truth. I noted this same flaw, among others, in HR1 on episode 93 of “Richard Helppie’s Common Bridge”. One of worst legislation I’ve ever read. On YouTube or most podcast outlets. Apple here podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… #HR1 #ForThePeopleAct

It's not abot a 2 party system, Marianne. It's about solidifying complete power for ONE Party...the Democrat Party

It's real weird being blocked by a political party and only remember they exist when a statement is shared lmao

A great way to address that problem would be through instant-runoff voting

We really need to scrap the current system of government and start fresh, trying to fix the current one, which has been in progress for generations, is futile and a complete waste of time. #DirectDemocracy #GiftEconomy

The senate needs to make some revisions to this bill that make it equally fair for third party candidates.

While the Republicans seek to suppress the vote, Democrats seek to control the number and strength of alternative parties. Both major parties are funded by Wall St and do not want competition from populist leaning parties. In HR1 they seek to snow you with 800 pages #PhonyAct
