The real problem isn't 'corporations' per se for they're just fictional shell entities. The fundamental problem is that the means of production are owned by a tiny fraction of the population. That they do it today thru 'corporations' is a mere detail to this essential fact.

The DNC is a private corporation that has the legal authority to choose it's own primary candidate, prevents outside competition, and sells its agenda through its mouthpieces in the media. This is not normal. This is not democracy. It is theater. An illusion
