1/ When Moses first told the Israelites they could leave Egypt but they better go quickly, they didn’t jump up and down with excitement. Their basic attitude was “We’re slaves here, but we have enough to survive. Who knows if we can survive the desert?”

2/ That’s one of the most important points in the story. Sometimes we’re tempted to stay in a condition that we know is limited because it feels safer than making a break for some unknown destination of freedom. Moses is the voice in all of us saying, “Come on, you can do this.”

The Israelites were no different than we are ... we're all afraid of change!
Hats off to Moses, considering how the Bible allows slave owners to beat up their slaves 💪🏻

why is a New Age crackpot quoting the Bible?

purpose is what keeps us from wandering in our wilderness. The Israelites weren't too happy after wandering for a while and were willing to go back to be slaves because they knew what that was all about. Are we willing to face the unknown and walk into it with faith and purpose
