“One minute late and you lose a whole hour of pay.”
I spoke for a few minutes yesterday with Amazon workers in Alabama. They told me about the heat, the absurd breaks, and the fact that if you are one minute late you lose a whole hour of pay. That is why they are standing with courage and taking on the richest man in the world.

How is that even legal? And this makes me sad because Bernie was the only one who was ever going to fight for the American worker.

It would seem like that wouldn’t be legal. I mean, if someone was five minutes late and the company docked them 15 minutes, okay—but a whole hour? Overkill.
