The fact that Mitch McConnell feels the need to public assure everyone that the purpose of voter suppression laws is not to suppress votes, means: 1) oh yes they are, 2) Repubs are nervous that people can see that, and 3) our not taking it lying down is absolutely the right thing

This sort of logic is ludicrous: the fact that they deny it shows their guilt! (If they didn't deny it, that would ALSO show their guilt). Ascribing intentions to assign guilt is a poor philosophy.
