The fact that Mitch McConnell feels the need to public assure everyone that the purpose of voter suppression laws is not to suppress votes, means: 1) oh yes they are, 2) Repubs are nervous that people can see that, and 3) our not taking it lying down is absolutely the right thing

Voter suppression is a major problem but it is not the main problem. The main problem is voter apathy. The main problem anyone who hasn't taken the time to become well-informed, free of misinformation and disinformation, on all the major issues of today.

Here's the situation in the USA: We do not live in a democracy. We do not live in a republic. We live in a corporatocracy run by dynastic plutocratic families, corporate oligarchs, and international banksters.

Remember when voting was a sacrosanct & patriotic duty? Nowadays it can't be the least bit inconvenient. I'm for government issued ID to vote Voting in person unless legitimately away from home. Penalties for not updated address. Early voting for 2 weeks. @LeaderMcConnell

Securing elections is not voter suppression. Stop thinking black and brown people are incapable of doing everything white people can. Your racism is showing.

H.R. 1 is totally unconstitutional. You people are lying when you say that it's about protecting the rights of voters.

Voter ID is even required in Mexico, Iraq and almost every country - we don't want illegals, dead dems and their dogs, voting

Continually using the phrase “voter suppression” doesn’t it make it true.

How is it voter suppression? The laws apply equally state by state. Are you saying certain races can’t figure out how to vote? Seriously answer the question.

I meaaaaan, it's pretty hard for the GOP to make the case they're helping people when they outlaw giving water to people in need.
