Biden has already abandoned non trivial portions of his platform. We're not getting a 15 dollar minimum, a public option, he still owes most of the country 600 bucks, and another 17 million 2,000. Voting can maybe avert worse outcomes, it doesn't appear to improve things.
People trying to suppress the vote are reminding a lot of people how much the vote matters, and people working to undermine democracy are making a lot of people realize they care. The enemies of democracy just might be awakening a giant. #VotingMatters

In this case, “averting a worse outcome” was a seriously big deal. And there are a lot of places where voting, particularly in primaries, still makes a huge difference.

Looking at the border I don't think it was as big of a deal as people who are carrying water for Biden would like to pretend. We've also more or less guaranteed that 100 million or so Americans won't have a shot at real healthcare for the next decade. I can't make predictions

about that calculus confidently. It's certainly nice that the racism in America is just on a policy front instead of from the bully pulpit again, but it continues unabated, even in this administration.
