How is someone who ran for President ignorant of that fact that our founders explained exactly why not? If anything incorporate residential areas into Maryland, or just stop income tax. This makes much more sense than simply giving Democrats two Senators.

The specifically made it this way because they feared the impact the politics of the DC state would have on national politics. Nothing has changed there. If Democrats do that I’m hoping Republicans split the Dakotas into 10 and gain 20 senators.
