How is someone who ran for President ignorant of that fact that our founders explained exactly why not? If anything incorporate residential areas into Maryland, or just stop income tax. This makes much more sense than simply giving Democrats two Senators.

Because the constitution. That's why. They can be part absorbed into one of the other states for representation. We do not need another state.
